The Math Operation action will allow you to make calculations based on what is in a particular field and update fields with the output. Follow this article for an overview of the Math Operation action.

1. Numeric / Monetary Field Types

• Navigate to the Operations drop-down and select the field that applies (add, divide, multiply, and subtract)

Please Note: The Select field and Update Field can be the same or different, but it has to be of the same field type

• Next, enter the specific value   amount and select “Save Action”

1. Date Field Type

• Under Operations click on the select field - Current date

• Add or subtract any days, months, and years to the current date or any date type field that apply
• Once done select the “Save Action” button

Please Note: If the output value is negative then it will be replaced with zero

How does it work?

1. Select field -> select any Numeric / Monetary / Date field as an Input
   1. -Only Numeric, Monetary, and Date field types are supported.
2. Operations -> select an operation and enter respective values
   1. -The Select field and Update Field have to be of the same field type.
3. Update field -> select any field to update it with the output value (field type should be same as "Select Field")
   1. -If the output value is negative then it will be replaced as zero.

Numeric / Monetary Field Types

The Math Operation feature also includes a Custom Value Picker, providing more flexibility and ease of use for businesses. Users can select numeric fields from triggers and access all numeric fields available in the custom value picker.

1. Navigate to Operations: Open the Operations drop-down menu.
2. Select the Field: Choose the relevant numeric field from triggers.

1. Value Field: Use the custom value picker to select any numeric field.

1. Enter Specific Values: Input the value amount for the calculation.
2. Save Action: Click “Save Action” to apply the changes.

Use Case

This enhancement is particularly beneficial for businesses with recurring customers. For instance, in a barbershop, if a customer spends $30 and returns for another service worth $30, the lead value can automatically update to $60, eliminating the need for manual updates.
